DIY Post-Workout Body Butter

After a long strenuous workout, it’s best to decompress. How you take care of your body after exercise, is just as important as how you take care of your body during exercise. Post-workout drinks and snacks help to replenish energy, and a muscle relieving body butter can encourage a speedy workout recovery.

You provide the post-workout snacks, and our experts at Edens Garden will bring this DIY post-workout body butter. Made with some of the most soothing essential oils available, and skin-nourishing oils and butters, this body butter is your ticket to restored comfort and healing.

Allow Grapefruit, Roman Chamomile and Black Pepper’s muscle-soothing abilities to take a load off, Lemon to help calm rigid nerves, and Sweet Orange, Hemp and Thyme to encourage reduced inflammation all while deeply nourishing your skin. Say goodbye to sore muscles and after-workout pain.

What You Need

How To

  • Yield: 7 oz body butter

  • Melt the shea butter, cocoa butter and soy wax using a double boiler. Once melted, add Avocado and Coconut carrier oils, and remove from heat. Add the essential oils and transfer to a bowl. Use an emulsion mixer to blend the ingredients until it is a buttery consistency. Once it’s reached this consistency, transfer to the container of your choice.

  • After the product has been made, perform a skin patch test. If no irritation occurs, massage body butter onto sore muscles and joints, or have a partner assist you. Allow the deep, comforting power of this body butter to seep in and help restore your body.
