Description

Possessing an intensely strong woody and unusual aroma, it is important to note Valerian’s aroma can be unfavorable to some. While it may not smell very pleasant, it is also known as the “heal all”. 

Valerian has an extended history since the ancient world as a medicinal herb for nervous disorders and hysteria. It can still be a powerful combative of anxiety and stress. Native Americans used Valerian as an antiseptic for wounds. Native to Europe and Asia, the Valerian plant grows up to 5 feet and produces clusters of fragrant pink or white flowers.

How to Use

CALM: Add to a personal inhaler and inhale as needed: 2 of drops of Valerian, 3 drops of Buddha Wood, 2 drops of Vetiver and 8 drops of Blood Orange. Or add of this blend to your Thera Lux Diffuser and diffuse for 15-30 minutes before bedtime to encourage relaxation.


BATH SALTS: Combine: 2 drops of Valerian, 3 drop of Frankincense (Carterii) and 2 drops of Lavender with 1 tablespoon Jojoba oil and 1/2 cup Epsom salts. Add to full bath and rejuvenate for 15-30 minutes.


FOOT BATH: Add the following to a full basin of warm water: 3 drops of Valerian, 5 drops of Tea Tree with one tablespoon of carrier oil and one tablespoon of salt. Mix well and soak feet for 15 minutes or as desired.


RELAXING BATH: Add to a 2 ounce squeeze bottle: 2 drops of Valerian, 10 drops of Lavender, 5 drops of Orange and 3 drops of Ylang Ylang, then fill with Jojoba oil and shake well to blend. Add 1-2 teaspoons of this mixture to a full tub, relax and enjoy. (1.7% dilution)
