Description

The enchanting fragrance found in nature is purely delivered in Cypress essential oil. Diffusing the oil can bring an elegant woodsy aroma to any space.

Cypress is the name applied to many plants in the cypress family, which is a conifer of northern temperate regions. Cypress trees are famous for their longevity.

Historically, these trees held spiritual significance. The trees grow tall and point straight upward, and were thought to help the newly departed make their way to heaven more easily.  The essential oil is extracted from the leaves of the evergreen tree through a steam distillation process.

LINIMENT: Add to a 2 ounce squeeze bottle: 5 drops of Cypress, 5 drops of Helichrysum, 2 drops of Peppermint and 8 drops of Copaiba, then fill with Jojoba oil. Shake to mix well. Apply enough of this mixture to cover the affected area and massage into the skin. (1.7% dilution)

OILY SKIN: Add to a amber glass bottle: 4 drops of Cypress, 1 drop of Carrot Seed, 4 drops of Frankincense frereana, 3 drops of Lavender (French) and 2 ounces witch hazel and Polysorbate 20 (manufacturer's recommended amount). Shake well to combine before applying a couple of drops to a cotton swab and applying directly to oily skin. For larger areas, add a teaspoon or two of the mixture to a small basin of warm water; immerse face cloth and use as a compress on the face. Shelf life: 1 week

SUGAR SCRUB: Blend together: 10 drops of Cypress, 10 drops of Tangerine and 15 drops of Rosemary with 1/2 cup of granulated sugar, 1/4 cup of Jojoba and 1/4 cup of Sesame oils. Stir to mix well. Use a spoon to scoop out scrub. Best used in the shower. Gently massage 1 tablespoon at a time over the body, focusing on thighs and buttocks. Avoid getting scrub wet to prevent contamination.
